An eye for beauty has always been Jean-Louis Husson's legacy. As a child, he could often be found drawing faces and figures. Even then he was fascinated with the human form. Although he never received any formal training, Jean-Louis' innate sense of artistry and composition are representative of true natural talent.

Jean-Louis began his professional career in front of the camera's eye. He walked the runway for top European fashion house Armani in Paris, Monte Carlo and Milan; was a featured print model in GQ and leading southern California fashion and lifestyle magazines; and was the cover model for numerous best-selling romance novels.

Never one to become complacent, Jean-Louis used his modeling assignments to learn as much as he could about the art of photography, sometimes even offering to work as an assistant in hopes of gaining valuable nuggets of knowledge about new technologies, including the shift from film to digital photography.

In 1979, Jean-Louis left France to pursue his American dream. He launched his career as a photographer using the skills he had cultivated from the European fashion scene. His passion for painting as well led to his well-renowned works recognized by collectors everywhere as a "vision on a Feather". Today, Jean-Louis Husson's art can be found in fine art galleries and on the internet as signed and numbered "Giclee Edition" pieces available for purchase through his Arizona publisher.

His work as a photographer encompasses advertising, fine art portraiture, fashion, beauty, editorial, commercial and aerial. He jokes that the aerial photography in particular allowed him to do it "just for fun, and the sweet feeling to be a professional photographer at the top."

One of his greatest sources of inspiration comes from the Native American term "The Shadow Catcher", used to describe a photographer. He strives to place his subjects in settings that reflect a lesser seen side of their personality. In Jean-Louis' eye, photography does not only reproduce the the visible, but rather makes it visible.

He has successfully used this concept in his "Black Chair" series featured in a Scottsdale magazine. His work can also be seen at his new studio and gallery, where comfort and modernism mix to create an environment perfect for photo shoots, gallery showings and special events. Today Jean-Louis Photography & Studio Gallery offers the viewer visiting his gallery a new “Art Deco" display of images printed on various mediums and in all sizes.
